It's been a fabulous adventure since we purchased the land in 1978, which then was a corn field. In 1981 we started building the Big Barn on the Bay. It took 6 months to build. The gala Grand Opening was in June of 1982 and some 1800 people enjoyed the festivities. Throughout the years we would travel and find awesome artifacts for our customers to enjoy each season.
We offer the best when it comes to crabs. You can grab some to go in our famous Wooden Caboose, or dine in with us in the Barn or at Sneaky Pete's overlooking the bay. Either choice is a welcome one, we just want to offer the best in service and a smile on your face as you enjoy the meal we have planned for you.
So Come Make Memories With Us! And we'll make sure it's one you won't forget.

Our experience at Hooper’s in Ocean City, MD moved me so much that I had to share! We were there celebrating my dear friend’s 50th birthday—a milestone moment—and what made it truly unforgettable were two of the kindest, most thoughtful servers: Zoe and Deklin.
From the moment we sat down, Zoe treated us with such genuine kindness, warmth, and care that it felt like she was sent from heaven just for us. She wasn’t just serving food—she was part of our celebration. Every little detail, every request, every moment—she handled it all with such grace and heart, making us feel seen, valued, and celebrated.
There was one moment I’ll never forget. The chain of my purse got stuck between the wooden slats of the bench I was sitting on. It may sound small, but it was really stuck, and I felt so embarrassed and helpless. Without hesitation, Zoe dropped everything to help. She spent nearly 20 minutes working so patiently and gently to free it. She never once made me feel like a burden—instead, she made me feel cared for. When she finally got it out, I was beyond grateful and so relieved—it truly meant a lot to me.
And then there was Deklin—so kind, adorable, and full of positive energy. At one point, my friend admired the hat he was wearing, and without missing a beat, he gave it to her. Just like that. It was the sweetest, most unexpected gesture, and she wore that hat proudly the very next day with the biggest smile on her face. Deklin also stopped by during the evening, striking up casual conversation, and his presence just added even more joy to an already beautiful night. It’s rare to meet people with such genuinely good spirits.
Zoe and Deklin, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You turned a lovely evening into something deeply meaningful. You reminded us how much of an impact kindness and good energy can have—and we’ll never forget it.

Hooper's Crab House
🦀 One of the must-visit seafood spots in Ocean City! We got the All-You-Can-Eat special ($55) with fresh blue crabs, shrimp, fried chicken, and hush puppies — they let me skip the sides and just kept the crab coming! 🦞 My wife had the Awesome Clawsome combo with lobster, crabs, and corn for $52, and everything was super fresh and flavorful.
The vibe here is fantastic — casual, fun, and very family-friendly. 🎉 No reservation needed and the wait time was short, even on a busy night. Great decor, plenty of space, and they’re super welcoming to kids too. We’ll definitely be back! 🍤🌽🧒

Hooper's Crab House
This place is impressive. It's a large dinning room, but everything runs efficiently. This place is managed very well. Staff is friendly and efficient, and food is very good, and served in a timely fashion. I'm impressed. They earned my money and my respect.
