Fin Chaser Sportfishing Charters

Our first year on Fin Chaser, and what a trip to remember!

Cpt. Dan & first mate Dave from the very first hour of our offshore sea bass fishing trip were professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. Cpt. Dan notified us early morning of our May 2026 trip that it may be better to fish for sea bass due to increasing winds that would effect our deep sea tile fishing excursion planned, however he left us the option of doing either which was great when he could have easily kept with the plan and we be out of a lot more money. Instead we decided to go with black sea bass, having a very productive and active day. We moved frequently when it was clear the current spot was dry or drifting off the center of the fish. Very much on point if the current situations.

In the boat, and for the first time in our boating careers, there was almost a full size living area with couches, enclosure to protect from elements, a full bathroom and bunk bed. All available to us,making for a comfortable round trip ride.

Back on shore we were given an oppurtunity to smoothly sort out fish and take photos. There's also a multitude of bars and restaurants conveniently placed on the peer for post trip relaxation.

Awesome experience and would highly recommend the Fin Chaser in Ocean City for your next fishing trip.

Decent trip. Originally wanted to target Tuna/Marlin, and pretty much was told last minute that Mahi/Tile was all that was possible. Not necessarily the captain’s fault, but annoying nonetheless. Captains attitude could use some work, you’re in the customer service industry at the end of the day… A few of our party arrived a couple minutes late, Captains starts muttering to his mate (within earshot of all of us) about how it’s now pointless to go to XYZ location because we’ll ’never beat the other boats there’, as if we’re making his job so difficult, If you wanted us there 15 minutes earlier, give us a heads up, if it really makes all the difference…not a good first impression. At the end of the day we caught some fish, but the experience overall could’ve been a lot better…

We had a great time catching sea bass with Dan and Joey on the Fin Chaser! Their experience, versatility, and professionalism kept us on fish the whole time. I have been looking forward to catching some of the best tasting fish in the ocean for a long time and the Fin Chaser delivered big time. They are very clear about what is expected, how to stay safe, and how to be successful in catching fish. Bring a teachable mindset, respect the captain’s rules and boat, and you’ll have a great day battling sea monsters!!
